In Every Brilliant Thing there is a list given by the son to his suicidal mother of brilliant things about life to make her want to keep living.
Here’s the list item I was given to say out loud, when prompted during the show.
Just a sneak peak as my review will be posted soon. I have a lot to say about Every Brilliant Thing and I’m still digesting Sunday night’s performance. Incredible show. Stay tuned…
Wow. 😦 Unbearable; poor son. I used to worry about my mother, she never said the word suicide but I knew it was there. She ended up being happy after all us kids were out of the house, lol… got her bachelors, her masters, taught for a few years, then was a wonderful grandmother to my niece, she died when she was 80.
I am sorry. It is quite a childhood altered by a depressed mother. Glad your mom got better.
That is a brilliant thing, right there! The show sounds great, love the idea of audience participation in this way too.
