About

Jill began interviewing New York City indie bands at age 18. It’s a passion that continues with jillypopmusic. Jill loves to share her musical finds and thoughts on pop culture with an international audience. Jill also enjoys creative writing and occasionally posts poetry and very short stories.

In March 2017 Jill celebrated 3 years at Jillypopmusic. Jill has been blogging since 2009 when she met a prominent music blogger at the Northside Music Festival in Brooklyn. Jill volunteered at his showcase and was inspired by their conversation and decided to start her own music blog.

Jill’s focus for 2017 is to enlighten and help her readers discover new independent artists. If you would like to be featured please email jillypop89 at outlook dot com.
